Henry Botham- New Orleans piano gumbo

following in the footsteps of Jelly Roll Morton, Dr John and James Booker, the New Orleans tradition of recreating a full band using just piano is continued by Henry. Like his heroes before him he draws upon a wide and unusual repertoire taken from various sources and all brought together under the umbrella of New Orleans piano. Traditional Spirituals, old time Blues, Jazz, stride Piano, Rock, Latin American and Pop songs all contribute to the myriad of styles used to cook up this hot spicy Piano Gumbo
